Our Story

Mother and Daughter Pastime, Together Cooking Concept. Indian Woman Teaches Her Little Girl to Bake and Beat the Dough.

I've spent a decent amount of time trying to capture my mom's recipes in my iphone notes, only to find myself missing key details when it came time to cook.

While facetiming her looking for guidance, I realized the importance of preserving her culinary wisdom especially when it came to home food she's been making for us for years.

Not being able to reach her one day, I scoured social media for validation.

Wishing I recorded my mom cooking chicken curry the last time she made it led me to the idea of a visual cookbook—a tribute to Bangladeshi comfort foods (and my own third-culture creations).

For me, for you, for our kids and their kids.

Because if we don't normalize cooking dishes we grew up with, our kids definitely won't, and long before you know it our dishes will only remain in stories.

For now, we're a small brand by a mom and her two daughters sharing homemade comfort dishes, aiming to educate and inspire others with our love for cooking using bengali ingredients. We plan and hope to expand into much more.

Thank you for being here today and thank you for supporting our mission to preserving bangladeshi recipes for generations to come.
